An evening of innovations in dance and technology featuring performance/demonstrations of three works in progress, created by participants in Dance Theater Workshop’s Digital Artist Resource and Media (ARM) Fellows program.

Thanks to all who attended "Ideas in Motion 2006" at Green Street Studios. I'm sure those in attendance agreed with the Boston Globe's Karen Campbell, who called it "The most thrilling dance work this reviewer has seen in recent memory." We're already beginning to plan "Ideas in Motion 2007," which will be presented as part of the 2007 Boston Cyberarts Festival.   Andrea Haenggi / AMDaT
Choreographer and visual artist Andrea Haenggi and dancer Tori Sparks perform one facet of Haenggi’s work correre I + II. The work incorporates both prerecorded and live video projections to create an ever-changing world, where the dance drives the visual imagery and the imagery drives the dance. (more…)
  Bridgman/Packer Dance
Choreographers and dancers Art Bridgman and Myrna Packer present excerpts from Under the Skin, a visually arresting, densely layered work of live performance and video projection. Live music is provided by Boson-based composer and saxophonist Ken Field, who created the score for this piece. (more…)
  Peter Kirn
Composer and performer Peter Kirn presents excerpts from his project Anatomia: Real-Time Movement Animation, which employs custom systems for translating live movement into sound and three-dimensional imagery. (more…)

The performance/demonstrations are followed by a conversation on dance and technology, featuring a panel of the DTW artists. The evening concludes with an informal gathering at Sidney’s at the Hotel @ MIT, where audience members can meet and mingle with the artists and continue the discussions.
